The Emerald Sketch hosts in-depth clinical trainings to teach all of the trauma sequences applied post-mass trauma. These sequences are implemented by the Emerald Sketch Trauma Response Team, including a diverse range of Art therapists throughout the United States, as well as the Red Pencil globally. Nicole Porter Davis was the pioneering co-writer for the Red Pencil’s first Manual edition.
Trainings begin with an orientation to all the sequences, the Community based Art therapy Assessment Process, and Outreach Methodology. This is followed by learning the sequences in the Art therapy trauma response process, which takes clinicians on their own non-verbal journey to harness new techniques to implement the phases of safety & security, the therapeutic relationship, secure remembrance, transformation, social connection, and relapse prevention.
Whatever your clinical setting, these innovative, yet ancient practices will bring your work into the modern era at a pace that is uplifting and comfortable to work with the most challenging clients of all ages.
Upon completion of training, participants are awarded an Official Emerald Sketch Art therapy Trauma Response Training Certificate. To be added as an official member of the Emerald Sketch Trauma Response Team, clinicians must show proof of completion of the Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy training. This will include updates and insights on Emerald Sketch Art therapy Trauma Response opportunities, outreach, and mobilization.
