In response to the Russian attack on Ukraine, the Emerald Sketch partnered with Voices of Children, an Ukraine-based aid organization that provides psychological support to children who have witnessed war. The Emerald Sketch provided monthly virtual trainings for 40-60 psychologists and art therapists on the ground in Ukraine who work directly with families and children survivors. This program must be maintained and sustained because it’s not only providing training to the clinicians, but also vital self-care, as the clinicians themselves are also survivors of the war. These clinicians have fled their homes and lost everything, yet still show up work with children to process the ongoing devastation.
